LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas A&M International volleyball began a weekend road trip on Friday against Lubbock Christian. In the end, it was the Lady Chaps (9-4, 5-0 LSC) taking the 3-0 victory over the Dustdevils (1-10, 1-3 LSC).

The Lady Chaps had everything going from the opening serve, winning all three sets decisively.

Lubbock won set one by a score of 25-18, then roared to a 25-14 and 25-11 victories in sets two and three.

Senior
Mackenzie Catalina led TAMIU with nine kills on the night, while sophomore
Yaretzi Ortiz (7) and graduate student
Ilina Spasova (4) followed behind.

Catalina also had a team high 12 digs, alongside sophomore
Daniela Sandoval, while senior
Allison Wade led the team in assists with 20.

The Dustdevils must quickly put the loss behind them as they travel to San Angelo, Texas to face Angelo State at 2 p.m. tomorrow.
