Dustdevils Fall To DBU In Road Matchup

DALLAS, Texas – Texas A&M International women's soccer lost a very tough road match to #5 DBU, 7-0.

It was all Patriots (15-2, 11-1 LSC) from the start as they took all momentum early and never let the Dustdevils (3-12-1, 2-8-1 LSC) have a chance to climb back,

DBU scored just six minutes in to lead 1-0, and followed that with four goals in 11:54 to take a 5-0 lead into the half.

The Patriots scored their sixth and seventh goals 4:50 apart in the second half, at 82:45 and 87:35 to reach the final of 7-0.

On the afternoon, TAMIU was outshot 31-10 and 17-4 in shots on goal, as well as trailing 13-2 in corner kicks.

Senior Valeria Macias and sophomore Krysan St. Louis led the Dustdevils with three shots each, while St. Louis put all on the cage. Freshman Irene Robles followed behind with two shots.

TAMIU returns to Laredo and hosts its final home contest of the 2021 season, when they face Texas A&M-Commerce on Wednesday, Nov. 3. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.
