CANYON, Texas – Texas A&M International volleyball concluded its weekend road trip with a 3-0 defeat at the hands of #25 West Texas A&M.

The Lady Buffs opened with a surge, taking the first set 25-15 and held that momentum throughout, taking sets two and three by scores of 25-11 and 25-16.

The Dustdevils (3-17, 3-10 LSC), coming off a difficult loss to Eastern New Mexico the night before, just wasn't able to find their groove.

Yaretzi Ortiz led the team with 10 kills on the afternoon, while senior
Mackenzie Catalina followed with a quiet seven kills.

Digs and assists were also held to a limited quantity as sophomore
Daniela Sandoval had a team high eight digs and senior
Maison Kosse had 17 assists.

TAMIU has an important home weekend ahead, as they look to keep hopes for the LSC Tournament alive. St. Mary's enters Laredo on Friday, Nov. 5 for a match set to begin at 6 p.m.
