Ally Winnen, cruising to a 78-64 victory over Angelo State (1-12, 1-12 LSC).

Angelo State was the early aggressor, opening the game with a 7-0 lead. However, the Dustdevils countered with a with an 18-0 run to take a double digit lead, ultimately ending the quarter up 24-14.

TAMIU opened the lead to 35-19 in the second quarter, but the Rambelles cut the deficit to just 37-29 at the break.

The first half saw the Dustdevils shoot 43% from the floor, but were just 1-for-12 from three point. Â

Defensively, TAMIU limited Angelo State to 32% shooting in the half and 3-for-12 from three.

The Dustdevils continued to cruise opening the lead up to 19 after three quarters behind 56% shooting and four three pointers in the frame.

The Rambelles faught to cut the lead down to just 12 in the fourth quarter, but the Dustdevils grew the lead again, coasting to the victory.

For the game, TAMIU shot 43% from the floor, but just 26% from three. On the other hand, Angelo State shot just 36% and 30% from behind the arc.

The Dustdevils were led by Winnen who scored a team-high 23 points, 13 rebounds and eight blocks for her second double-double in as many games. Heyn also added a second consecutive double-double, scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Senior
Patrycja Jaworska scored 12 points to go with nine assists, while sophomore
Bre DeLon and freshman
Silvia Blanco both added 12 points.

Angelo State was led by Madeline Stephens who scored 18points and added 13 rebounds. Sawyer Lloyd also contributed a double-double with 16 points and 10 assists, while Lana Marov added 10 points.

The Dustdevils take the home floor one last time tomorrow before the Lone Star Conference tournament. Senior day will take place before the game and tip is scheduled for 1 p.m.
