DALLAS, Texas – Texas A&M International men's soccer (3-2-1, 3-2-1 LSC) bounced back in shutout fashion, blanking DBU (1-3, 1-3 LSC) 2-0 on the road.
The Dustdevils opened the scoring at the 22:19 mark of the first half, when junior
Dylan Krufal netted his first goal as a Dustdevil on an assist from sophomore
Lassana Diakite, who also got his first point as a Dustdevil on the play.

The remainder of the first half passed and at the break, DBU led the way in shots (5-4) and corner kicks (4-2). Both teams each had two shots on goal in the first 45 minutes.

The score remained 1-0 until late in the second half when freshman
Gabriel Gacovicaj scored his second goal of the season at 87:46, to put the exclamation point on the victory. Senior
Kristian Colaci picked up his first assist of the season on the goal.

Each team had three shots on goal in the second half, with TAMIU putting two on the net to DBU's one.

For the game, DBU outshot TAMIU 8-7 and had seven corner kick to the Dustdevils two. Shots on goal in the game went in favor of TAMIU who had four with DBU settling for three.

Gacovicaj led the way offensively for the Dustdevils taking three shots, with two being on goal. Krufal and sophomore
Mikael Cabezas each had a shot on goal as well.

Nils van der Landen got the start in goal and picked up the clean sheet saving all three shots he faced on the afternoon.
Back in the win column, TMAIU concludes its regular season road schedule on Tuesday March 23 against UT Tyler. Kickoff from Tyler, Texas is scheduled for 3 p.m.
