TYLER, Texas – Texas A&M International men's soccer (3-3-1, 3-3-1 LSC) took to the road one last time in the Spring 2021 season and fell to UT Tyler (2-4-1, 2-3-1 LSC) 1-0.
The lone goal scored on the afternoon came from the Patriots and it was Todd Fuller finding the back of the net on an assist from Birkir Eydal at the 28:03 mark of the first half.

It was an even played first 45 minutes, with both teams taking four shots. TAMIU had to on target, while the lone UT Tyler shot found its way in.

In the second half, the Dustdevils outplayed the Patriots on the stat sheet, taking eight shots on goal with six being on the cage. UT Tyler took three shots over the final 45 minutes and two made it on target.

For the game, TAMIU outshot the Patriots 12-7 and had the edge in shots on goal, 7-3. Corner kicks were also in favor of the Dustdevils, holding a 9-5 edge in that department.

Freshman
Gabriel Gacovicaj led the way offensively for TAMIU taking four shots, with three being on goal. Junior
Dylan Krufal followed with three shots (two on net), while fellow juniors
Gabriel Arias and
Johan Portales each took two shots, both putting one of their two on net.

Freshman Naxto Faus got the start in goal, saving two of the three shots he faced in the contest.
The Dustdevils get an extended break before playing their final game of the Spring 2021 regular season at home. St. Mary's travels to Laredo on April 6 for a 5 p.m., Senior Day kickoff.
