LAREDO, Texas – Texas A&M International men's soccer (2-1, 2-1 LSC) scored 3:23 after falling behind early to Oklahoma Christian (1-3, 1-3 LSC) and added two second half goals to defeat the Eagles 3-1.
Oklahoma Christian struck first at the 14:44 mark when Ian Arendse made the score 1-0.

Just 3:23 later, freshman
Gabriel Gacovicaj scored his first collegiate goal, blasting a 30-yard missile past Eagles goalkeeper Anthony Trabichet to even the score 1-1.

Tied after the first half, it took the Dustdevils just 3:01 into second half to take the lead when junior
Johan Portales netted his second goal of the season on an assist from sophomore
Mikael Cabezas.

TAMIU added to its lead at the 64:51 mark when senior
Kristian Colaci scored his first goal as a Dustdevil to make it 3-1.

The Dustdevils were dominant throughout the contest, outshooting the Eagles 20-3. Of the 20 shots by TAMIU, 16 were on target, while the Eagles lone goal was the only shot on net.
Offensively, Gacovicaj led the way with nine shots, seven of which were on target. Colaci followed with four shot (three on net) and Portales put all three of his shots on goal.

Freshman Naxto Faus faced only one shot on goal, while Trabichet faced 16 shots, saving 11.

The Dustdevils win streak is at two games and they prepare for a conference clash against LSC preseason favorite Midwestern State on Saturday. Kickoff from Wichita Falls, Texas is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
