LAKELAND, Florida- The TAMIU Lady Dustdevils women's soccer team traveled to Florida over the weekend for a pair of matches against Florida Southern and St. Leo. After two hard matches the Lady Dustdevils came away with a split on the weekend.
In the first matchup of the weekend, the Dustdevils walked away with a 1-0 win against Florida Southern. Nicole Cohen scored in the 48^th minute of the game and that would be all the offense the Dustdevils would need on the night; Stefanie Petrova assisted on the goal by Cohen. Fabiana Solano was perfect on the night stopping all 6 shots on goal.
In game two on the weekend- the Dustdevils fell just short of sweeping the trip in Florida by a score of 1-0 that saw St. Leo as the victor at the end of 90 minutes.
The Dustdevils played really well in this matchup, also on the weekend, and look to keep the momentum rolling as they return home for a home match against D1 opponent Texas Southern Friday night at 8P.M.
