LAREDO, Texas – Texas A&M International men's soccer faced Lone Star Conference foe UT Permian Basin in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday night. The two teams battled in an overtime thriller that ended in a 3-3 tie.

The Dustdevils were the first to crack the scoreboard when senior
Kristian Colaci netted his fifth goal of the season on an assist from senior
Yuki Tatsuma at the 3:58 mark of the first half.

The Falcons would go on to score three unanswered goals to take a 3-1 lead at the break. UT Permian Basin goals came at 14:49, 20:16 and 40:49.

TAMIU wasted no time out of the half cutting the deficit to 3-2, when freshman
Maximiliano Moreno scored his first collegiate goal just 36 seconds into the second half.

Just 10:37 later, Colaci scored his sixth goal of the season and second of the game, tying the contest 3-3 on an assist from freshman
Jacob Restrepo.

The Dustdevils led the way in total shots, holding a 13-8 edge, while dominating in corner kicks, 10-1. Both teams put five shots on goal on the night.

TAMIU takes the field for another LSC non-conference clash on Saturday, Sept. 25 when the Dustdevils travel to Tyler, Texas to face UT Tyler.
