TYLER, Texas – Texas A&M International women's soccer opened its 2021 Lone Star Conference schedule on the road against UT Tyler. In another heartbreaking, one goal loss, the Dustdevils (1-5-0, 0-1-0 LSC) fell to the Patriots (3-1-0, 1-0-0 LSC) 2-1.

UT Tyler opened the scoring at 23:45 of the first half and ultimately held that edge at halftime.

In the first half, the Patriots led the way in shots on goal by a 11-3 margin and put seven on net.

TAMIU tied the game midway through the second half, when senior
Clarissa Valdez capitalized on a penalty kick, making the score 1-1.

With 5:52 remaining in the contest, the Patriots got their game-winning goal to seal the victory.

The Dustdevils, despite trailing in shots, shots on goal and corner kicks were again right there at the end of the game.
