LAREDO, Texas – Texas A&M International women's soccer squared off against Lubbock Christian in its first Lone Star Conference home game, but it was the Lady Chaps (4-0-2, 1-0-1 LSC) toppling the Dustdevils (1-6-0, 0-2-0 LSC) 3-1.

Lubbock Christian opened the scoring just 11:18 into the contest to take the early lead, then added to the lead, making it 2-0 at 19:23 of the first half.

In the first half, the Lady Chaps led the way in shots on goal by an 8-4 margin and put seven on net to the Dustdevils four.

At the 77-minute mark Lubbock Christian netted an insurance goal to take the lead of 3-1.

The Dustdevils trailed the Lady Chaps 18-7 in the shot counter and 10-5 in shots on goal. Corner kicks also faced Lubbock Christian, 7-4.

Krysan St. Louis led TAMIU with two shots each, while Grant put both on net and St. Louis put one on target.

The Dustdevils take to the road for a matchup against Angelo State on Wednesday, Sept. 29. Opening kick is scheduled for 5 p.m. from San Angelo.
