PORTALES, N.M. – Texas A&M International men's soccer closed its 2022 road schedule on Wednesday night, falling to Eastern New Mexico 3-2.
After a scoreless first half, the Dustdevils (3-8-6, 1-5-2 LSC) and the Greyhounds (5-8-1, 2-6-0 LSC) combined to score all five goals in just a 19:51 stretch of the second half.
Eastern New Mexico scored first at 48:37 to open the scoring, but TAMIU tied it 1-1 at 53:20 when junior
Tajani Fairclough scored his fourth of the season.
Just 10 seconds later, the Greyhounds took a 2-1 lead and 3:40 after that scored again to hold a 3-1 edge.
At 68:28, the Dustdevils concluded the scoring with junior
Lassana Diakite scoring his fifth of the season, assisted by fellow junior
Tahja Reynolds.
TAMIU was outshot in the game 17-12, but both teams had six shots on goal for the night.

Ozman Ochoa all had two shots in the game, with Fairclough and Diakite each had both of their shots on target.
The Dustdevils, now officially eliminated from postseason contention will conclude its 2022 season at home on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. when the host #6 St. Mary's.
