KINGSVILLE, Texas - Texas A&M International baseball fell in its doubleheader against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday, by final scored of 3-1 and 10-4.

TAMIU was the first to crack the scoreboard, jumping ahead in the third inning to make it 1-0 on an RBI single by senior?Ariben Gutierrez that scored coring junior Isaac Gonzalez.Â
TAMUK would tie the game in the bottom of the fifth, before adding the winning run and an insurance run in the sixth inning to seal the 3-1 victory.Â
The Dustdevils had opportunities in the fifth and sixth, with a runner being thrown out at and leaving a runner stranded at third in those innings respectively.Â
Senior?Abanny Garcia?tossed all six innings, allowing three runs, nine hits, two walks and fanned five.?Â
The Dustdevils collected five hits offensively, with Gonzalez leading the charge with a 2-for-2 game one.?Â
Sophomore Daniel Quiroz, junior Cameron Yeldell, and Gutierrez all added a hit each.??Â

Game two started in a different direction than the first, with the Javelinas scoring the first two runs in the bottom of the second inning to take the lead.Â
TAMIU responded to tie the game in the top of the third, with a two RBI single from Gutierrez.Â
The Dustdevils would take a 4-2 lead in the fourth inning, thanks to an RBI double by junior Beto Cervantes and an RBI single by senior Brock Hargens.Â
TAMUK would follow in the bottom of the fourth with eight runs to end the scoring for game two at 10-4.Â
Sophomore?Jan Cabrera took the mound for three innings, allowing five runs, six hits, three walks and struck out two.?Â
