TAMIU Volleyball Adds Guerrero and Pena to 2022 Class

LAREDO, Texas – Texas A&M International volleyball head coach Brittany Harry announced the singings of Victoria Guerrero and Rebecca Pena to the 2022 class.

Guerrero is set to join the Dustdevils from J.B. Alexander High School. 
 
As a native of Laredo, Texas, Guerrero chose TAMIU as an opportunity to represent her hometown and thrive as an athlete. 
 
Guerrero was selected to First Team All-District (2022), Second Team All-District (2021), All-Academic Team (2021), All-Academic Team (2022), AHS Offensive MVP (2022), La Estrella Del Deporte Award 2022, AHS Bulldog Hustle Award (2022), and the All-Tournament Award -Longhorn Fest 2022. 
 
Victoria will be pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science while at TAMIU. 
 
Rebecca Pena 
 
An incoming high school recruit, Rebecca Pena will join TAMIU from Union High School. 
 
A native from Laredo, Texas, Pena played for LTX Select and for Union High School. Rebecca was selected as Libero of the Year for her accomplishments throughout her season. 
 
Pena is excited for the opportunity to continue to play volleyball at the collegiate level and will be pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Biology at TAMIU.
