Kingsville, Texas – Texas A&M International volleyball fell in straight sets (16-25, 25-27, 17-25) to Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday afternoon at the Steinke Center.
The Dustdevils battled tightly in the second set, exchanging leads through 17 ties before narrowly falling 25-27.
Danea King led the way at the net with six kills and a team-high six total blocks, while
Mia Molina posted nine kills and six digs.
Sierra Long added six kills, and
Caitlyn Cornell chipped in six kills with three blocks.
Setter
Natalia Cisneros dished out 15 assists, and
Dilean Bounds contributed 12 assists and 10 digs for TAMIU, who finished the match with 43 digs as a team.
Texas A&M International continues its season at home on Nov. 7 against UT Dallas. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
