LAREDO, Texas – Texas A&M International men's soccer was just five seconds away from sealing a victory, but DBU scored the tying goal to end the night with a 1-1 draw.

The Dustdevils (1-3-3, 0-0-0 LSC) scored just 9:43 seconds into the game, when junior
Lassana Diakite scored his fourth goal of the season on an assist from fellow junior
Tajani Fairclough to make it 1-0.

TAMIU held the 1-0 lead throughout the night, until the waning seconds, when the Patriots (1-1-4) tied the game with just five seconds left, stunning the Dustdevils and bringing the game to a draw.

TAMIU could only muster four shots in the game with three of them on goal. On the other side, DBU had 13 shots and six of them were on the mark.

Fairclough led the team with two shots, while Diakite, senior Mikael Raikkonen and Fairclough all had a shot on goal.

The Dustdevils stay home for another LSC non-conference matchup against UT Tyler on Wednesday, Sept. 21. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. from the TAMIU Soccer Complex.
