LAREDO, Texas – Texas A&M International men's soccer ended a three-game tie streak, giving UT Tyler its first loss of the season, 2-0.

It was an even first half with the score sitting at 0-0, as both teams played very defensive soccer.

In the first 45 minutes, TAMIU had just four shots and UT Tyler (5-1-1, 0-0-0 LSC) had just two.

At 56:29, the Dustdevils (2-3-3, 0-0-0 LSC) found the back of the net thanks to sophomore
Ricky Casso scoring his first collegiate goal, assisted by junior
Tajani Fairclough.

Just under 20 minutes later, at 75:07, TAMIU added an insurance goal, this time Fairclough with his first goal as a Dustdevil off an assist from freshman
Inaki Solabarrieta.

TAMIU outshot the Patriots 9-5 in the game and 4-2 in the shot on goal category.

TAMIU returns to the pitch on Saturday, Sept. 24 to begin a two-game road trip. First up is St. Mary's in the final non-conference matchup of the regular season. Kickoff in San Antonio, Texas is set for 7 p.m.
