Dustdevils Battle To 1-1 Draw With Texas Woman's

DENTON, Texas – Texas A&M International women's soccer scored with just over 15 minutes remaining to draw Texas Woman's 1-1 in Lone Star Conference play.

Texas Woman's (1-4-2, 1-0-1 LSC) jumped ahead early in the contest, making it 1-0 just 11:31 into the game and would hold that lead for over 60 minutes of game time.

With 15:03 remaining in the second half, TAMIU (3-3-1, 0-1-1 LSC) finally found the back of the net as junior Krysan St. Louis tied the game 1-1 with her second goal of the season.

The Dustdevils peppered shots throughout, outshooting the Pioneers 19-6, including 13-1 in the second half. TAMIU had seven shots on goal to just two for Texas Woman's.

Junior's Alicia Martinez and Lucia Cuadra each had five shots to lead the team, while St. Louis led the way with three shots on goal.

The Dustdevils return home to face UT Tyler on Wednesday, Sept. 21 for a 5 p.m. kickoff, before embarking on a two game conference road trip.
