LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas A&M International women's soccer lost a hard fought 1-0 match against Lubbock Christian in Lone Star Conference play Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Chaps (6-0-4, 3-0-1 LSC) were the beneficiary of a quick start, scoring the lone goal of the game just 4:04 in.Â
TAMIU (3-4-2, 0-2-2 LSC) had fewer chances to get the offense going, compared to LCU, getting outshot by a margin of 16-6. The Dustdevils places just one shot on goal, while the Lady Chaps had four.
Redshirt sophomore Andrea Castellanos led the team with two shots, while four others had a shot each. Junior Sammy Hecht had the lone shot on goal for TAMIU.
The Dustdevils, still looking for their first LSC win has another chance on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. against St. Edward's in Austin, Texas.
