Dustdevils Draw Mustangs

Wichita Falls, Texas – Texas A&M International women's soccer earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Midwestern State on the road on Saturday to extend its unbeaten streak to four matches.

The Dustdevils (4-3-5, 2-2-3 LSC) allowed the Mustangs (5-3-5, 2-2-3 LSC) to score the opening goal in the 20th minute. TAMIU totaled 14 shots in the first half and held Midwestern State to just five but trailed 1-0 after 45 minutes.

That changed just 23 seconds into the second half when Lucia Cuadra scored on a penalty kick to tie the game.

The Mustangs only managed one shot in the second half and TAMIU peppered the goalkeeper with 17 but the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
