Tyler, Texas – Texas A&M International women's soccer battled to a 1-1 draw with UT Tyler on Wednesday on the road.
Apryl Alvarez opened the scoring for the Dustdevils in the 14th minute and TAMIU held its 1-0 lead through the remained of the first half.
But, the Patriots found the equalizer in the 47th minute and neither team scored the rest of the contest.
Both teams finished with 16 shots with the Dustdevils recording nine shots on the goal and UT Tyler finishing with seven.
Candela Gonzalez, Louise Atkinson, Krysan St. Louis and Alvarez all recorded two shots on goal. St. Louis led the team with four total shots.
Fabiana Solana recorded six saves.
TAMIU is now 2-3-4 on the season and 0-2-2 in Lone Star Conference play and will be in action next at 7 p.m. on Saturday at home against Lubbock Christian (4-3-3, 1-2-1 LSC).
