Laredo, Texas - In a record-breaking matchup, Head Coach, Nate Vogel becomes the all-time winningest coach in TAMIU Women's Basketball history in just 3 ½ full seasons.
Raiana Brown set the Field Goal Percentage record going 11-for-11 from the field for 100% shooting on the day. The team also set an all-time scoring record with their commanding victory over Lincoln University, 127-80. The previous record was 126 points, scored on January 14, 2012 against Oklahoma Panhandle.
The Dustdevil offense was firing on all cylinders, shooting an impressive 60.8% from the field and 35.7% from beyond the arc. The Dustdevils displayed a well-rounded team effort, with multiple players making significant contributions.
Raiana Brown led the charge, going a perfect 11-for-11 from the field and contributing 23 points to the team's total.
Bridgette Tello showcased her three-point shooting, connecting on 5-of-8 attempts and finishing the game with 19 points. The bench also played a crucial role, contributing 70 points to the team's impressive total. Additionally, the Dustdevil's inside presence was overwhelming, scoring an impressive 60 points in the paint compared to Lincoln's 36.
TAMIU continues their winning streak, improving to 5-0 on the season. The Dustdevils will travel to Edmond, Oklahoma to face the University of Central Oklahoma in the Oklahoma Thanksgiving Classic on Tuesday, November 21 at 4pm.
