Edmond, Okla. – Texas A&M International women's basketball solidified the best start in program history, upending Southeastern Oklahoma, 86-65 in non-conference action.
The Dustdevils (7-0, 0-0 LSC), for the first time in school history, won their first seven games, surpassing the 6-0 start by the 2021-22 team.
The Dustdevils shot 39.2% from the field, 33.3% from beyond the arc, and 73.9% from the free-throw line. TAMIU took control in the second half, scoring 31 points in the third quarter. The Dustdevils scored 16 second-chance points, 30 points off turnovers, and the bench contributed 30 points.
Raiana Brown had a double-double on the afternoon, contributing 19 points, 11 rebounds, along with 1 block and 1 steal.
Malea Jackson added 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Bridgette Tello made a significant impact off the bench, scoring 12 points and accumulating 3 steals defensively.
TAMIU's well-rounded performance secured their 7
th consecutive victory of the season. The Dustdevils look forward to their first LSC matchup on Thursday, November 30 at 6pm when they face UTPB.
