Laredo, Texas - In a decisive matchup TAMIU emerged victorious against LeTourneau University with a final score of 82-42 on Friday afternoon in the KCB in Laredo, TX.

In the first quarter, both teams started competitively, with LeTourneau trailing by one point at 16-17 at the end of the quarter. However, as the game progressed, TAMIU surged ahead, outscoring LeTourneau 31-9 in the second quarter, establishing a substantial lead of 48-25 by halftime.

The third quarter maintained TAMIU's offensive prowess, adding 24 more points to their total, while LeTourneau managed 10 points. The final quarter saw the Dustdevils secure their victory with an additional 10 points, closing the game with a final score of 82-42. TAMIU shot 34.5% from the field, 21.4% from beyond the arc, and 66.7% from the free-throw line.

Raiana Brown led the Dustdevils with 16 points and grabbing 7 rebounds in 19 minutes. Malea Jackson followed closely behind with 12 points and 3 assists. TAMIU's defense was dominant, securing 39 rebounds and forcing 53 turnovers.

The Dustdevils will return to the court on Thursday, January 4 at 6 p.m. when they face St. Edwards in the TAMIU KCB.
