FORT SMITH, Arkansas – After winning game one of the series on Friday, Texas A&M International Baseball swept UAFS in Saturday's doubleheader, winning 4-3 and 16-1.

The Dustdevils jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first scoring two runs.
Junior Joseph Cruz and graduate student Daniel Hernandez scored a pair of runs on a throwing error.
The Lions responded with a run in the bottom of the second and tied the game up in the fifth.
But, TAMIU recaptured the lead in the top of the sixth after senior Matt Kissamis scored on a balk.
UAFS didn't go away scoring in the bottom of the seventh, but the Dustdevils responded one last time with a run in the top of the ninth.
Senior Mario Chacon scored the game-winning run on a throwing error.
Sophomore Lalo Salinas pitched seven innings where he allowed three runs (one earned) on six hits while striking out eight and walking one.
Junior Danny Dial closed the game with two innings of work. He allowed no runs, no hits and struck out four.
The Dustdevils recorded six hits and were led by Kissamis who went 2-for-4 with one run.

TAMIU scored in the top of the first and never trailed in a seven-inning game.
The Dustdevils scored two in the first after junior Antonio Buentello doubled in a pair of runs.
TAMIU scored one more in the top of the second after senior Marcos Alvardo doubled in a run.
The floodgates opened in the third when the Dustdevils scored six runs.
Kissamis scored on a wild pitch, senior Beto Cervantes scored after a base on balls with the bases loaded and Hernandez doubled in three runs.
The Dustdevils outscored the Lions 2-1 in the fourth to take an 11-1 lead.
Alvarado singled in a run and sophomore Andrew Leal doubled in a run.
TAMIU added four more in the fifth and added one in the sixth.
Cruz scored after Chacon was hit by a pitch in a bases-loaded situation, Alvardo tripled in three runs and redshirt sophomore Joey Coolbaugh scored after a base on balls with the bases loaded.
Junior Jan Cabrera pitched five innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out 11.
Sophomore Emilio Duque and junior Rolando Riza both pitched one inning of relief and neither allowed a run.
Kissamis, Cervantes and Alvarado all recorded three hits for the Dustdevils.
TAMIU is in action next on Sunday, March 12 for game four of the series. The first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
