SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Texas A&M International baseball fell to Saint Mary's 20-2 in game one of a four-game series on Friday.
The Rattles scored 13 runs in the third inning, three in the fifth and four in the sixth.
The Dustdevils scored two runs in the top of the seventh.
Junior
Daniel Quiroz hit a two-run home run to score the two runs.
Freshman
Cody Templeton got the start on the mound. He pitched two innings where he allowed nine runs (eight earned) on nine hits while walking no batters and striking out two.
Four TAMIU pitchers combined for six innings, allowing 11 runs on nine hits while walking five batters and striking out two.
The Dustdevils recorded six hits as a team with no player recording more than two hits.
The Dustdevils will be in action next on Saturday, March 25 at noon for a doubleheader.
