Tyler, Texas – The Dustdevils continued their road trip on Thursday evening in Tyler, TX when they faced the Patriots of UT Tyler and came away with the victory, 72-52.
TAMIU took a commanding lead in the first half, outscoring UT Tyler, 41-22. TAMIU shot 52.00% from the field, 53.33% from 3PT range, and 63.64% from the free-throw line in the first half.
On the other side, UT Tyler faced challenges, with a first-half shooting percentage of 33.33% from the field, 28.57% from 3PT range, and 60.00% from the free-throw line.
The Dustdevils continued their strong performance in the second half, maintaining their lead and ultimately securing a decisive victory over UT Tyler with a final score of 72-52. The team displayed consistent shooting, finishing the game with an overall percentage of 46.9% from the field, 45.8% from 3PT range, and 65.2% from the free-throw line.
