Dallas, Texas – In the final game of a four-game road trip, the Dustdevils (8-9, 4-7) traveled to Dallas, TX to face DBU (15-1, 9-1) in Lone Star Conference action.
The game commenced with a competitive first half between TAMIU and DBU. In the initial 20 minutes of play, TAMIU scored 38 points, achieving a shooting percentage of 46.15%. However, DBU took control, leading with 51 points at halftime and shot 55.88%.
As the second half unfolded, TAMIU staged a comeback, scoring 44 points and demonstrating an improved shooting performance at 67.86% from the field and 50% from deep. However, DBU continued their strong performance, adding 48 points in the second half for a final score of 99-82 in favor of DBU.
Mathew Okoye led the Dustdevils with 26 points.
John Achebe added 10 points and 5 rebounds.
Mike Rivera also added 10 points in the effort.
After a long road trip, the Dustdevils return home to face Eastern New Mexico on Thursday, January 25 at 8pm in the TAMIU KCB.
