Lubbock, Texas- The Texas A&M International Volleyball team traveled to Lubbock after facing a tough #14 Angelo State team the night before. The Chaps and the Dustdevils met previously in the season in the Crossover Challenge held at the KCB gymnasium. The Dustdevils would prevail in that game, winning in five sets over LCU. History would soon repeat itself with a slight twist of fate as the game today went to five sets, with the Chaps prevailing.

The game would prove to go down to the wire as the five sets went as follows: (25-23), (23-25), (25-20), (19-25) and (14-16). TAMIU would finish the game with 63 kills and a .178 hitting percentage. The Dustdevils had 52 digs, 14 blocks, and 4 service aces as a squad.

Mia Molina would continue to showcase her offensive skillset as she led the Dustdevils with 23 kills which would be the game high. The freshmen standout Aryanna Ledet helped push her team with 21 kills hitting an impressive .302 percentage on the match while also tallying 7 blocks.
Emma Lade continued her search for a back-to-back setter of the year award with 55 assists, 11 digs and 3 blocks.
Lixai Perez had 15 digs while
Marianna Gamboa also thrived on the defensive side with 12 digs on the match.
Abby Buenrostro had a huge night with 9 total blocks for the Dustdevils.

The Dustdevils move to 6-9 on the season and 3-3 in conference play. The Dustdevils will play Cameron University on October 18
th at 6:00 PM CDT.
