Dallas, Texas- The Dustdevils took on the SNU Crimson Storm Friday at the Dallas Baptist University Thanksgiving classic. This is only the second time the two teams have met with Southern Nazarene coming out victorious the first time. The Crimson Storm came into the match today undefeated while your Dustdevils entered 4-3 overall.
Â
Out of the ordinary for TAMIU, offense was not on their side tonight. The Dustdevils shot 17-49 from the field, 4-17 from the arch and 61.5% from the free throw line. With 5:12 left to play in the first half, it was close as TAMIU was 14 and SNU was 17 with almost five minutes left to play. However, it took a turn for the worst as the Crimson Storm went on a 15-3 run to end the half. At the half the Dustdevils were trailing by points going into the locker room. The Dustdevils found their offensive groove in the second half, but it was not enough to erase the deficit as Southern Nazarene also notched 39 points in the second half. The Crimson Storm outscored the Dustdevils 39-29 in the second half to come out with the win 71-46.

Coach Mac Commented,
"I was disappointed in the effort tonight. The momentum that we built over the last three games was not there tonight. SNU pressure on the defensive end really bothered us and forced us to turn the ball over. We did not handle the physical play and just got out played. We did not bring what was needed to beat a very good team. We have a chance to redeem ourselves tomorrow against a really good OBU team."

The Dustdevils play tomorrow against Oklahoma Baptist at 5:00 PM.
