San Angelo, Texas – In their final game of the weekend, the Dustdevils (3-7) faced Angelo State (9-1).
Freshman
Kylie Goad got the start for the Dustdevils pitching 3.0 innings and allowing five runs on seven hits with one walk and two strikeouts.
The Rams got on the board early and were up 5-0 after two innings.
The Dustdevils' best opportunity came in the fourth when they had two runners on after singles from
Katelyn Luera and
Victoria Gonzalez, but they did not get a run across.
TAMIU's offense was held to just four hits in the contest as Angelo State got the 7-0 win.
The Dustdevils return to Laredo for their home opener against Eastern New Mexico next weekend with a double header on Feb 16. At 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and the series finale on Feb. 17 at 12 p.m.
