San Angelo, Texas – The Dustdevils (3-6) were on the road as they faced Regis in San Angelo on Saturday.
Carla Arellano got the start for TAMIU looking for her first win of the season.
The Rangers got on the board with one run in the first inning before
Kristy Alanis singled in the third, bringing in
Victoria Maldonado to tie the game at one.
A run in the top of the fourth for Regis gave the Rangers a 2-1 lead.
Isabella Perez put the Dustdevils back on top with an RBI single bringing in
Sarah Chavez and
Alex Hernandez.
The Rangers scored twice in the seventh, giving them the 4-3 win.
TAMIU faces Angelo State in their second game on Saturday and look to finish the weekend with a win.
