Laredo, Texas – The Dustdevils (5-11, 2-4) faced the Texas Woman's Pioneers (7-6, 4-1) in Lone Star Conference play Wednesday afternoon.

Kylie Goad got the start on the mound for TAMIU looking for her fourth win in the young season.
The Pioneers got on the board first courtesy of a solo home run and an RBI double in the second inning, giving them a 2-0 lead.
TWU added two more in the top half of the fourth with another solo home run and a sacrifice squeeze bunt.
The Dustdevils rallied in the bottom half of the fourth inning loading the bases but did not bring in a run.
The Pioneer offense added their final two runs in the seventh, with a 2-run home run, putting them up 6-0.
Goad finished her day pitching 6.2 innings, allowing six runs on nine hits with two walks and three strikeouts.
TAMIU finished the day with six hits behind
Kennedy Griego's 2-2 day.
The Dustdevils continue their season on the road against Oklahoma Christian Saturday Feb 24 and Sunday Feb 25.
