Laredo, Texas – The Dustdevils took on the UAFS Lions in game four on Sunday, where the Lions came out with the 7-5 victory.
The Lions got on the board first, scoring two runs in the top of the third inning, courtesy of an RBI single and a sacrifice fly.
The Dustdevils answered back with a big home half of the fourth, scoring five runs.
Isaac Stanwick started the scoring for TAMIU with an RBI double that brought in
Nick Chavez and
Isaac Gonzalez.
Abiam Medina brought in another run with a sacrifice fly and
Ariben Gutierrez came into score on a wild pitch.
Nomar Prieto brought in the fifth run of the inning with an RBI single that brought in
Joseph Cruz, putting the score at 5-2 in favor of the Dustdevils.
UAFS closed the gap with two runs in the top of the fifth before tying the game at five in the eighth inning. The Lions scored two more on a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth, securing the win.
Cody Templeton got the start on the mound for the Dustdevils, pitching six innings and allowing four runs on nine hits with one walk and five strikeouts.

The Dustdevils continue their season on the road when they travel to Oklahoma to face the Oklahoma Christian Eagles March 15-17.
