Laredo, Texas – The Dustdevils and Hilltoppers finished out their series Wednesday afternoon as St. Edward's took the final game by a score of 4-3.

The Dustdevils got on the board first with a Victoria Gonzalez two-run home run in the bottom of the first, giving TAMIU an early lead.

The Hilltoppers got one back in the second with a solo home run, cutting the lead in half.

The game was locked at 2-1 until the top of the fifth where SEU scored three runs, putting them in front 4-2.

TAMIU got one back in the bottom of the inning with an RBI from Eva Garcia that brought in Alana Garcia.

Tessa Ramirez started the game for the Dustdevils and pitched 4.2 innings and allowed four runs on six hits with five strikeouts. Zakayia Fredrick pitched 2.1 innings in relief allowing no runs and no hits.

TAMIU finished the game with eight hits, led by Victoria Gonzalez and Alana Garcia's two hit game.

The Dustdevils are headed to their bye-week and resume play on the road against Lubbock Christian March 23-24.
