Game 1
Laredo, Texas - TAMIU clinched a dramatic victory and the first every berth in the LSC postseason with a walk-off home run in extra innings, sealing a 9-8 win over St. Edward's in the first half of Saturday's doubleheader.
Medina launched a three-run homer in the first inning, quickly followed by Cervantes with a solo shot, giving the Dustdevils a quick 4-0 lead. St. Edward's responded in the second inning when Murray drove in a run, beginning their battle to close the gap.
By the third inning, St. Edward's had surged ahead, scoring four runs highlighted by another hit from Murray, who racked up a total of three RBIs on the day. Their momentum continued with Little's solo home run in the fifth inning and another two-run homer in the seventh, putting St. Edward's in the lead at 8-6.
TAMIU tied the game, 8-8, in the seventh inning after Coolbaugh's RBI single and a wild pitch that allowed another run, and the game headed into extra innings. The decisive blow came in the eighth inning when Gutierrez hit a walk-off home run to give the Dustdevils the 9-8 victory.
RJ Patrick earned the win for the Dustdevils, improving his record to 2-3. Skweres, who was unable to record an out in the eighth while giving up the winning run, took the loss for St. Edward's, dropping to 0-3 for the season.
With the win, the Dustdevils clinch a spot in the LSC postseason for the first time in program history.

Game 2
Laredo, Texas -Â Texas A&M International baseball dropped the second half of Saturday's doubleheader to the St. Edwards, 1-15.
St. Edward's opened the scoring in the first inning with a two-run homer by Drewek. St. Edward's continued with two more runs in the second inning, including another RBI by Drewek. The Hilltoppers continued with two runs in the fourth and a four-run burst in the fifth, highlighted by Murray's two-run homer.
St. Edward's adding another five runs in the sixth inning. Flores contributed with a two-run home run. The Dustdevils scored a run in the bottom of the sixth, when Medina scored on a double play.
Rayfield picked up the win for St. Edward's. On the other side,
Jan Cabrera suffered the loss, yielding six runs (three earned) over four innings.
The Dustdevils and Hilltoppers will face off on Sunday in the regular season finale at Jorge Haynes Field beginning at 12 p.m.
