Odessa, Texas - The Dustdevils finished their series in Odessa in exciting fashion as they defeated the Falcons 7-3 in nine innings.
The game remained scoreless until the third inning when a sacrifice fly from
Kristy Alanis gave the Dustdevils a 1-0 lead. The Falcons answered back in the bottom half of the inning with a two-run home run, putting them in front 2-1.
Victoria Gonzalez put the Dustdevils back in front in the fifth inning with a two-run home run that gave TAMIU a 3-2 lead.
The Falcons tied the game in the bottom of the seventh with an RBI single and sent the game to extra innings.
Zaria Brigham scored on a passed ball to start the four-run ninth inning for TAMIU.
Eva Garcia brought in two more runs with an RBI double followed by a passed ball that scored
Alex Hernandez securing the 7-3 win for the Dustdevils.
Tessa Ramirez pitched seven innings for the Dustdevils and allowed three runs on five hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
Zakayia Fredrick pitched two innings in relief and allowed no runs and two hits.
The Dustdevils stay on the road and head to San Angelo to face Angelo State Tuesday and Wednesday.
