San Antonio, Texas – The Dustdevils (2-2-1) traveled up to San Antonio to take on the Rattlers (3-1-2) on Saturday. Two first half goals by the Rattlers were enough to get the job done as they defeated TAMIU 2-1.

St. Mary's opened the scoring with a goal by Cooper Stephens in the 29^th minute. Pau Mateu Deya added one for the Rattlers in the 41^st minute sending the Rattlers to halftime with a 2-0 lead.

The Dustdevils cut the lead in half with a goal by Byron Aguilar in the 56^th minute.


The Dustdevils defense shined in the second half, not allowing the Rattlers a shot on goal.

Ioannis Koupepides recorded six saves in the match, all in the first half.

The Dustdevils return home Friday, September 27^th, where they face St. Edward's in their final nonconference game of the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

TAMIU will be honoring men's soccer alumni during halftime.
