Seguin, Texas – In the final nonconference game of the season, Texas A&M International earned the 4-2 win on the road against Texas Lutheran.
The Dustdevils got on the board early, with a goal from
Krysan St. Louis in the eighth minute.
TAMIU added a penalty kick goal from
Loren Perez Barrera and a goal from
Candela Gonzalez that took the Dustdevils into halftime with a 3-1 lead.
In the first half, the Dustdevils outshot the Bulldogs 11-6.
Claramalia Pederson recorded two saves in the first half.
The Bulldogs cut into TAMIU's lead early in the second half with a goal from Alyssa Ibanez.
In the 65
th minute, the Dustdevils went back up by two with a goal from
Janize Castillo.
Pederson recorded two more saves in the second half for the Dustdevils.
The Dustdevils start conference play on the road against UTPB in Odessa, Texas, on September 25
th. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
