Dustdevils Route Aggies with Dominant Fourth Quarter

Laredo, Texas – The Dustdevils defeated the Cameron Aggies 73-64 on Saturday in a Lone Star Conference matchup. TAMIU used a dominant fourth quarter to propel them to victory.

TAMIU shot 42.9% from the field (27-63) and 41.7% from three (5-12). They were solid from the free-throw line, hitting 66.7% (14-21), and dominated in second-chance points (16).

Josie Igherighe recorded a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Trinity Chears and Alyssia Thorne also contributed 15 and 14 points respectively.

The defense held Cameron to just 44.4% from the field (24-54) and 33.3% from three-point range (6-18).

TAMIU's strong fourth-quarter performance and dominance in the paint (40 points) proved to be the difference in securing the victory.

The Dustdevils face UT Tyler at home on January 16th. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
