Laredo, Texas – The Dustdevils took on the 13^th-ranked Patriots at home in a Lone Star Conference matchup on Thursday. The Patriots came out to a strong first quarter lead that led to the 81-46 victory.

In the first half, the Dustdevils shot 6-22 (27.3%) from the field and 1-8 (12.5%) from three-point range. After 20 minutes, TAMIU went into halftime trailing 40-19.

In the second half, TAMIU shot 7-23 (30.4%) from the field and 1-11 (9.1%) from three-point range.

The Dustdevils were led by Josie Igherighe on both ends of the court. Igherighe contributed 18 points and eight rebounds on the night.

The Dustdevils prepare for another tough matchup on Saturday as they face #2 Texas Woman's at home. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
