Dustdevils Drop Home Game Against #RV Rattlers

Laredo, Texas- The Texas A&M International Dustdevils went into action Thursday evening as they took on the St. Mary's Rattlers who are receiving votes nationally. The two teams came into the match fighting to keep their positions in the LSC Conference Men's Basketball standings in their respective division as the Rattlers remained on top in the East Division. The Dustdevils entered the evening 10-12 overall while the Rattlers entered the game 14-4 overall on the season.  

The Dustdevils started off the first half strong, jumping out to their largest lead of the night, which was fifteen points with twelve minutes left to play. The Rattlers would not give up as they found themselves back in the game at 26-28 before heading to the locker room. The Dustdevils shot 10-25 from the field, 6-18 from three, and were 2-3 from the free throw line during the first half.

The Rattlers defeated the Dustdevils with a score of 64-50. The Dustdevils shot 16-48 from the field, 7-27 from three and 11-16 from the free throw line. Esteban Roacho led all scorers with 18 points. Duncan Alevok led the Dustdevils on the boards with five. Anthony Ignowski led TAMIU with four assists. Isaiah Somers led the Dustdevils in steals with two.
 
The Dustdevils will be back in action at home against St. Edwards on Saturday at 3:00 PM CDT.
