Dustdevils Fall 65-52 to Eagles

Laredo, Texas - Texas A&M International Univeristy fell to Oklahoma Christian 65-52 on Thursday in a Lone Star Conference matchup. The game was tightly contested through the first three quarters, with the lead changing hands seven times. 

In the first quarter, TAMIU shot 40.0% from the field, making 6 of 15 attempts, and 14.3% from three-point range, hitting 1 of 7.

In the second quarter, the Dustdevils shot 28.6% from the field, converting 4 of 14 attempts, shot 75% from the beyond the arc.

In the third quarter, TAMIU shot 33.3% from the field, connecting on 4 of 12 shots, and 40.0% from beyond the arc, hitting 2 of 5.

In the fourth quarter, TAMIU shot 30.8% from the field, making 4 of 13 attempts.

Leading the way offensively was Trinity Chears, who scored 18 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Angelique Morgan added 11 points, while Janiya Murphy contributed 7 rebounds and 2 steals off the bench.

The Dustdevils faceoff against the Cameron Aggies on Jan. 11th during TAMIU's Law Enforcement Appreciation game. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
