Laredo, Texas – Texas A&M International men's soccer fell 2-0 to Sul Ross State on Saturday afternoon at Dustdevil Soccer Field.
The Lobos struck early, scoring in the 17th and 31st minutes to take a 2-0 advantage that held through the remainder of the match. Despite the deficit, the Dustdevils battled back with a strong second half, outshooting the visitors 9-3 after the break.
Aaron Trevino led the offensive effort with two shots, including one on goal, while
Tiziano Klamler and
Sebastian Aguilar each added attempts that challenged the Sul Ross defense.
Goalkeeper
Ioannis Koupepides recorded five saves in 90 minutes of play.
The Dustdevils continue their season at home on October 15th against St. Edward's.
