Dustdevils earn road win against Rattlers

San Antonio, Texas – Texas A&M International men's soccer picked up a crucial conference win Saturday evening, defeating St. Mary's 1-0 at Sigma Beta Chi Field.

After a scoreless opening half, the Dustdevils found their breakthrough in the 75th minute when Tiziano Klamler netted the match's lone goal — his third of the season — to lift TAMIU to victory.

In goal, Ioannis Koupepides anchored the Dustdevil defense with a strong performance, collecting five saves en route to his second shutout of the year. TAMIU limited the Rattlers to just five shots on goal despite being outshot 16-5 overall.

Klamler's goal proved decisive as TAMIU's back line, led by Luca Foschi, Heiko Dromer, and Jorge Delgado, held firm to secure the clean sheet.

The Dustdevils (3-5-5, 1-4-1 LSC) continue on the road in Tyler, Texas, when they face UT Tyler on Wednesday. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
