Lawton, Okla. – The Dustdevils traveled north to Oklahoma for a road match against the Cameron Aggies. Despite winning the first set, Texas A&M International fell 3-1, moving to 3-14 overall and 1-7 in LSC play.
The Dustdevils started the night strong, capturing the first set 25–23 behind a balanced offensive attack and timely defense. From there, Cameron rallied to take the next three sets by scores of 25–21, 25–19, and 25–16.
Mia Molina continued her standout play, posting a team-high 16 kills on a .351 hitting percentage while adding 19 digs for a double-double.
Caitlyn Cornell was a force at the net, finishing with eight kills on an efficient .385 clip and a team-best four blocks.
Setter
Natalia Cisneros paced the offense with 22 assists and eight digs, while
Dilean Bounds added 14 assists and two service aces to help spark the TAMIU offense.
Defensively, the Dustdevils totaled 74 digs as a team, with Aryanna Ledet (12) and
Samantha Estrada (12) joining Molina in double figures.
The Dustdevils continue its Oklahoma road trip with a match against Oklahoma Christian Saturday afternoon. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
