Laredo, Texas – Despite a strong offensive showing, the Texas A&M International women's soccer team came up just short in a 1-0 loss to Lubbock Christian on Wednesday evening at Dustdevil Field.
The Lady Chaps capitalized early, finding the back of the net in the 21st minute for what proved to be the game's only goal. From there, TAMIU generated consistent pressure, outshooting LCU 15-13 and recording seven shots on goal, but couldn't break through against a stout defensive effort.
Goalkeeper
Latae Rodriguez tallied four saves for the Dustdevils, while
Ana Lucia Arroyo Azofeifa,
Loren Perez Barrera, and
Adamaris Manjarrez each placed shots on frame to pace the attack.
TAMIU (2-5-2, 1-4-1 LSC) continues to search for momentum as conference play rolls on.
The Dustdevils play their next game on the road in Denton against Texas Woman's University.
