Laredo, Texas – Texas A&M International women's soccer closed out its 2025 season with a commanding 7-1 victory over Eastern New Mexico on Tuesday night at Dustdevil Soccer Field.
The Greyhounds struck first in the 5th minute on a penalty kick, but TAMIU responded with seven unanswered goals to dominate the remainder of the match.

Laura Cardenas converted a penalty kick in the 16th minute to even the score before
Fredes Manrique gave the Dustdevils the lead with a strike in the 32nd minute off an assist from
Julissa Gonzalez.
Tove Thornholm extended the advantage in the 42nd minute, finding the back of the net from a setup by
Rosa Caird, sending TAMIU into halftime up 3-1.
The Dustdevils continued their offensive surge in the second half, with
Valeria Olivas Maldonado scoring in the 66th minute off another Gonzalez assist, followed by goals from
Caroline Jensen in the 70th minute and
Loren Perez Barrera in the 88th, assisted by Caird and
Ashley Perez. Perez capped off the night less than a minute later with a goal of her own to make it 7-1.
TAMIU outshot ENMU 27-4 and held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks. Goalkeepers
Latae Rodriguez and
Maria Melendez combined for the win, with Melendez collecting a save in the second half.
With the victory, the Dustdevils finish the 2025 season with an overall record of 4-9-4 and 3-8-3 in Lone Star Conference play.
