Portales, New Mexico – The Dustdevils secured its last series win of the season over Eastern New Mexico on Saturday, winning game three of the series by a final score of 7-5.

The Dustdevils scored one run in each of the first three innings to jump out to an early 3-0 lead. Omar Cervantes, Joseph Cruz and Eddie Saenz all contributed with a RBI.

ENMU cut into the TAMIU lead in the home half of the third, bringing the Dustdevil lead to just one.

Nomar Prieto stole home in the top of the fourth to put the Dustdevils back up by two runs.

The Greyhounds got a run back in the bottom of the fourth before a bases loaded walk, a sacrifice fly and a single led to three more runs for TAMIU, extended the lead to 7-3.

ENMU scored once in the seventh and once in the ninth to cut the lead to two, but the score stayed 7-5 as TAMIU earned the win.

Dannel Marrero started the game on the mound for TAMIU and pitched four innings. He allowed three runs on six hits with no walks and three strikeouts.

Lalo Salinas pitched in relief and earned his third win of the season, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing one run on three hits with one walk and two strikeouts.

Mario Garcia earned the save and pitched 1.2 innings. He allowed one run on one hit with two walks and one strikeout.
