Power Up! Maroon Madness Brings Anime, Athletics and School Spirit to TAMIU

TAMIU Athletics is bringing a whole new energy to campus with Maroon Madness, an anime-inspired celebration created to bring the TAMIU community together and get students ready for another season of Dustdevil Athletics.

This Isn't Your Typical Pep Rally

Maroon Madness is designed to be more than a traditional pep rally.

Taking place Tuesday, Oct. 13, Maroon Madness will give students the chance to step out of the stands and into the action as they compete alongside TAMIU student-athletes in a series of interactive games, challenges and activities.

And yes, there will be prizes!

Enter Your Power-Up Era

The anime theme will be incorporated throughout the event, giving students plenty of opportunities to get involved beyond the games.

Attendees can participate in interactive activities, collect limited-edition Power-Up cards and show off their Dustdevil spirit.

Power-Up Zones

Maroon Madness will feature Power-Up Zones throughout the event where students can grab free food and refreshments while enjoying the festivities.

Food items to be on the lookout for include pizza, ramen, bubble tea and tostielotes.

Exclusive Dusty Shirt

After the pep rally, attendees will receive a free anime-inspired Dusty T-shirt.

Created exclusively for Maroon Madness, the shirt features a special anime-inspired version of TAMIU's mascot, Dusty, making it a unique piece of Dustdevil gear.

Shirts are limited and will be available while supplies last.

Meet the Dustdevils

Maroon Madness is also an opportunity to meet the student-athletes who will represent TAMIU throughout the year.

Students will get to see a different side of the Dustdevils, interact with athletes outside of competition and experience the personalities behind the jerseys.

Get Ready for Maroon Madness

Whether you're coming to compete, cheer on your friends, grab some food, win prizes or get your exclusive Dusty shirt, Maroon Madness is your invitation to get involved with Dustdevil Athletics.

Grab your friends. Wear your favorite anime-inspired look or your TAMIU maroon. Pick your power-up and get ready for a night of Dustdevil spirit.
